Echocardiography

Echocardiography, or an echocardiogram (also called an “echo”), is a non-invasive medical imaging test that uses ultrasound to create moving pictures of the heart and its structures. It helps doctors visualize the heart’s valves, chambers, and blood flow, aiding in the diagnosis and monitoring of various heart conditions.
An echocardiogram is an ultrasound test that checks the structure and function of your heart. An echo can diagnose a range of conditions including cardiomyopathy and valve disease. There are several types of echo tests, including transthoracic and transesophageal.
