Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) involves a series of breathing tests that assess various aspects of lung function. These include:
Spirometry – Measures the amount (volume) and/or speed (flow) of air that can be inhaled and exhaled.
Lung Volume Measurement – Determines the total capacity of the lungs and identifies any restriction in lung expansion.
Diffusion Capacity Test – Evaluates how well oxygen passes from the lungs into the blood.
